I've been trying to work this out for years. The RT's do that very well but as you've discovered the tradeoff is no fine midi control over the individual notes. Most Biab users do not know about this stuff, find midi way to complex and just want to type in their chords, hit Play, sound good and don't want to spend any extra money.
